PSHE - A Brimpton Citizen

Enjoy the Jigsaw PSHE scheme to derive our themes and plans across the school and cover 2 themes per term:

• Autumn 1      -    Being Me in My World
• Autumn 2     -     Celebrating Difference
• Spring 1       -     Dreams and Goals
• Spring 2       -     Healthy Me
• Summer 1     -     Relationships
• Summer 2     -     Changing Me

Links are made, where appropriate, to wider topics – Teeth and Diet with Healthy me for example.  The work on Relationships in Summer 1 leads to Changing Me and incorporates Sex Education in Summer 2, which is now statutory for Primary age children.

A Brimpton citizen will welcome visitors to our school to enhance the children’s learning in this subject.  Lynn Cox is a dental hygienist and spoke to class 2 about healthy teeth and PSCO Preston spoke to KS2 about appropriate relationships and keeping safe on-line and in the virtual world.
