The Governing Body has three key functions, as set out by the Department for Education:

• Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
• Holding the head teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
• Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent

The school governors work closely with the Head Teacher to make key decisions about Brimpton School.
